Welcome to the Agassiz Energy, LLC. Agassiz Energy began in September of 2004 with 30 area investors. Today, this vision has grown to the point where construction of the ethanol plant is planned to begin in early 2007 with operations beginning in the third quarter of 2008.

The Agassiz Energy, LLC ethanol plant planned for construction will look similar to the Cornhusker Energy plant (pictured above) in Lexington, Nebraska built by the Bio-Renewable Group.
Plant Location: The Agassiz Energy site was selected for its prime location and strong local feedstock and cattle availability and direct access to two major railroads and highways.
Ethanol Production Capacity: The plant will be designed to produce 70 million gallons of ethanol annually with initial production at 52 mgy.
Corn Use: Growers could see an extra 5 to 10 cents per bushel for their corn due to the demand needed for the ethanol plant facility. A 52 mgy production plant processes on the average approximately 18,000,000 bushels of corn annually.

Distillers Grains: As a co-product of ethanol production, the plant will create about 171,000 tons of dried distillers grains as a high value nutritional supplement for animal feeds.
Employees: The plant will employ about 37 full-time employees. |
