Agassiz Energy plans to build a 55 million gallon a year ethanol facility on a 250 acre site at the intersection of the BNSF and CN railroads adjacent to Highways 2 and 59. This is a great location for a business that will market its major product by rail. The company is seeking strategic partners through equity and other capital means for financing the project. It is expected that the Environmental Assessment Worksheet review will be completed by the end of 2007 leading to commencement of plant construction in early 2008.

Plant Location: The Agassiz Energy site was selected for its prime location and strong local feedstock and cattle availability and direct access to two major railroads and highways.
Ethanol Production Capacity: The plant will be designed to produce 70 million gallons of ethanol annually with initial production at 55 mgy.
Corn Use: Growers could see an extra 5 to 10 cents per bushel for their corn due to the demand needed for the ethanol plant facility. A 55 mgy production plant processes on the average approximately 20,000,000 bushels of corn annually.
Distillers Grains: As a co-product of ethanol production, the plant will create about 200,000 tons of dried distillers grains as a high value nutritional supplement for animal feeds.
Employees: The plant will employ about 37 full-time employees.
